Why you should shampoo your car's seats, floor, and mats?
Getting your car's interior shampooed on a regular basis will help remove stains and foul odors. This helps make the interior feel and smell clean and fresh. This is particularly beneficial if you spend a lot of time eating or drinking in your car or if you have kids or pets always causing a mess.
How to know if you need shampoo?
If you have noticeable stains and foul odors these are signs that you need to shampoo your car’s interior. If you have bought a second-hand car we will always recommend getting it shampooed just to make the car really feel new and get rid of the previous owner’s bacteria and dirt from the car.
How often should I shampoo my interior if I have pets?
Whether your pet travels everywhere with you or you’ve taken them on a trip to the dog park or the vet, they can often leave unpleasant smells in your vehicle that can be very difficult to get rid of.
Molecules from their fur can get trapped in your upholstery and create pungent smells that car air fresheners don’t seem to be able to cover up.
This is why we recommend getting your car interior shampooed at least every 6 months if you have pets regularly traveling with you, this will help get rid of the dirt molecules from your interior seats and mats.
The steps we take to ensure your car interior is shampooed perfectly, leaving it as good as new:
Use a high-grade air compressor to help loosen up any dirt and debris that the vacuum may not otherwise get
Vacuum all of the areas that will be getting shampooed to remove any loose dirt and grime
We then inspect the area for stubborn stains - using a steam cleaner to break them down (these include but are not limited to food, drinks, and sweat stains)
We then soak the areas with our antibacterial shampooing formula. The products we use help with odors and helps break down bacteria that’s in the seats, mats and floors
After soaking the areas, we will use a number of different brushes to agitate the fibers and to help remove the trapped dirt
Once the areas are all brushed we then use a shampoo extractor, the extractor is the final step that extracts and cleans all of the bacteria and dirt that we have just brushed up from the fabrics. It also helps to make the seats and mats as dry as possible before we hand the car back over
On average, we spend 20% of our time inside cars and this is the reason why car seats go through constant wear and tear. Deep cleaning of car seats is a must on a regular basis, especially if you spend a lot of time eating and drinking in your vehicle. Additionally, if you have kids, pets, or both, a shampoo of the seats and floors will remove stains, pet hair, dirt, and other grime that gets tracked into your vehicle.
